Qiang (John) Zhou

Qiang (John) Zhou is a staff scientist with Chevron-Texaco Energy Technology Company (ETC). His main interests are in wireline and MWD/LWD logging technologies and applications. Before joining ETC, he worked for Western Atlas Logging Services (predecessor of Baker Atlas) in the development of logging instruments. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in engineering geosciences from the University of California at Berkley and a B.S. degree from the East-China Petroleum Institute.

John C. Rasmus

John C. Rasmus is an Advisor-Reservoir Characterization in the Schlumberger LWD product line based in Sugar Land, Tx. Current duties include LWD interpretation InTouch field and client support, resistivity and nuclear interpretation support and special projects. He has held various interpretation development positions, developing new and innovative interpretation techniques for secondary porosity in carbonates, geosteering of horizontal wells, geopressure quantification in undercompacted shales, and downhole motor optimization. John is a registered professional petroleum engineer in Texas as well as a registered professional geoscientist in geophysics.
