7th Geotechnology Meetings

“Strengthening data-driven decisions”

As the companies’ maturity curve evolves, it is necessary to incorporate different technologies and methodologies to accelerate the decision-making processes. During the last years, we have seen the oil industry starting to evaluate and incorporate data analytics as a tool to replace the tasks that in the past took several months.

Therefore, it is essential not only to count with the latest technology but also with a strong data governance strategy, thereby making quality data-driven decisions that ensure success. This requires the definition and incorporation of business processes, roles and responsibilities for all users to be able to identify the importance of data in the decision-making processes.

Besides, the new technologies in the cloud allow processing large amounts of data in less time, minimizing the product processing availability times and the interpretation.

The 7th Geotechnology Meetings 2022, to be held within #CONEXPLO22, will address these new methodologies and technologies. The purpose is that end users know the wide variety of possibilities available today in order to expedite their work in an increasingly restrictive context

The topics of the 7th Geotechnology Meetings are:

  • Data strategy; data management; data governance. Master data management. Data asset management (DAM).
  • Analytics: Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence.
  • GeoAnalytics: remote sensors, geographical information systems (GIS), Global positioning system (GPS) and geosteering.
  • Applications and cloud backup. Processing and interpreting. Interactions between applications.
  • Data quality.
  • Collaborative work; Extended Reality (XR); Training; Change Management.
