About Moderator:

Fernando is a Petroleum Engineer from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology(Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires – ITBA) and has a MSc in Petroleum Engineering (ISE - Heriot Watt).
With over 15 years of  experience in the industry, he is currently President at VYP Consultores SA, where he has carried out and led different reservoir characterization assessments, preparation of development plans, computer simulation, reserves auditing and evaluation of oil and gas assets in Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Chile, United States and India.
His previous experience as a petroleum engineer was at Shell, CAPSA, Compañía General de Combustibles (CGC) and YPF as a Reservoir Engineer in charge of the evaluation of new business in Argentina and other countries (Ecuador and Guatemala), preparation of bidding documents for Blocks in Argentina and production operations, optimization, design of installations and HSE, serving as a field engineer in the Neuquen and Golfo San Jorge basins. He has dictated several courses on numerical simulation, field development and water flooding for operating companies and educational institutions. Likewise, he has published several technical papers on reservoir modeling and simulation and secondary recovery.
