Round Tables- Tuesday October 8

Unconventional and Local Content Cluster Development

Since unconventional resources in our country are of utmost importance to regain independence from an energy standpoint, special attention should be paid to how oil service companies are progressing to support future development.

There is no doubt about the fundamental role these key players will have in the implementation of new technologies, creation of skilled jobs and basically in the development of companies and projects with strong local content.

When developing unconventional fields, companies will be required to offer their know- how during the drilling phase as well as during reservoir assessment and mainly during well completion.

Debate topics: what is the current and future sizing of service companies? What technologies are proposed to reduce drilling and completion costs? Vision and outlook regarding water and sand availability. In what way are future professionals being prepared? What national developments will enable import substitutions?

Round Table:  “Unconventional Cluster Development” - Speakers:

Federico Sorenson, Solution Manager for Unconventional Reservoirs / Halliburton Argentina
Héctor Domínguez, Unconventional Project Manager / Weatherford
Richard Brown, General Manager / Schlumberger “The Role of Technology in Unconventional Resources”

Round Tables - Wednesday October 9

Exploration of Unconventional Resources and Challenges for the Development of Unconventional Resources

In the international oil community, Argentina is described as one of the key partners in unconventional reservoir exploration and development, especially regarding bedrock clays producing oil and gas (shale oil and gas).

These resources intensely explored and exploited in other parts of the world such as the U.S, become one of the alternatives to revert hydrocarbon production decline in our country.

The round tables on Unconventional Resources Exploration and Development shall be honored by the presence of renowned professionals from the E&P field who will present their experiences and future challenges in that matter.

Debate topics: dynamic and static description, shale oil and gas in Argentina beyond Vaca Muerta, evolution in the understanding of shale basins, high pressure hydraulic stimulation versus brittleness description and TOC in bedrock.

Round Table: “Exploration of Unconventional Resources” - Speakers:
Carlos Colo, Director de Exploración / YPF S.A.
Rubén González, Shale Project Team Leader /Chevron Argentina
Ricardo Livieres / Operations Manager / ExxonMobil Exploration Argentina

Sebastián Galeazzi, Total

Moderador: Juan Soldo / YPF S.A.

Round Table:  “Challenges for the Development of Unconventional Resources” - Speakers:

Marco Gardini, Gerente Exploración y Desarrollo  / Medanito “Qué tan viva está la vaca muerta”
Tristán Alberto Armaretti, Gerencia de Recursos No Convencionales / Petrobras Argentina S.A. “El Desafío de Petrobras en Vaca Muerta”
Gabriela González, Gerente de Reservorios No Convencionales / Pan American Energy
Víctor Linari, Geosciences Advisor / America Petrogas

Moderador: Mario Schiuma / YPF S.A.

Round Tables- Thursday October 10

Development of Human and Technological Resources

Within the framework of Unconventional Reservoirs, this Table shall exchange ideas and discuss about the main challenges the industry must address regarding specific career commitment promotion, competence creation in a context of necessary industry- academy collaboration and development of adequate technological innovations.

Moderador: Andrés Mosteiro / Presidente Comisión RRHH del IAPG

Unconventional Resources Sustainability:

One of the key objectives of every new development must be to keep a balance between the need of human beings to improve their social condition and the preservation of natural resources and the ecosystem that will support the life of future generations.

In this round table speakers will address the special characteristics to be taken into account to achieve sustainable development of unconventional reservoirs

Speakers:

Sebastián Bigorito, Executive Director / CEADS
